Got a chip or short crack? Most windshield repairs in San Antonio take about 30 minutes and are often free with comprehensive insurance. AGSC-certified technicians, lifetime workmanship warranty, mobile or shop service.
Windshield repair is the smart move when the damage is small enough that the original glass and seal can be saved. We inject a clear resin into the chip or crack, cure it under UV light, and the windshield is structurally restored — no glass replacement, no insurance claim drama, no ADAS recalibration headache.

If the damage is bigger or in a worse spot, you’ll need a full windshield replacement instead. Send us a photo and we’ll tell you which one applies.
The repair takes about 30 minutes start to finish. We clean the impact point, vacuum out air and contaminants, inject a low-viscosity resin under pressure, cure it with UV light, polish flush, and inspect. The resin bonds chemically with the glass — once cured, it doesn’t pop out, doesn’t yellow noticeably, and stops the crack from spreading.
You’ll usually still see a small mark where the chip was — repair restores structure and stops spread, it doesn’t fully erase the damage. If you want it invisible, replacement is the answer.
Comprehensive coverage almost always covers windshield repair, and many insurers waive the deductible entirely on repair (vs. replacement) because it’s cheaper for them than letting the damage spread into a replacement claim. Many Texas policies include zero-deductible glass coverage, which means a lot of our repair customers pay nothing out of pocket. We file the claim while we work.
Cracks spread. Heat, cold, vibration, A/C blasts, defrost on a cold morning — any of those can grow a small chip into a six-inch crack overnight. Once the damage crosses repair thresholds, you’re looking at a full replacement that costs more, takes longer, and may require ADAS calibration. Catch it early and a 30-minute resin injection saves you the bigger job.

It restores structural integrity and stops the crack from spreading, but you’ll usually still see a small mark where the chip was. If you want the windshield fully invisible, replacement is the answer.
Comprehensive coverage almost always covers windshield repair, and many insurers waive the deductible on repair specifically. Many Texas policies include zero-deductible glass coverage. We file the claim for you.
Cracks longer than about six inches, chips bigger than a quarter, damage in the driver’s line of sight, damage at the windshield edge, or damage to the inner glass layer. In those cases you need a full replacement.
You can usually drive short distances safely with a small chip, but heat, cold, and vibration spread cracks fast. Tape over the chip with clear packing tape to keep dirt out, avoid temperature shocks (no full-blast A/C or defrost), and book a repair within a few days.
