Every Side and Rear Window We Replace

Side and rear vehicle glass is most often broken by break-ins, hail, road debris, accidents, or vandalism — the kind of damage that needs to be cleared up fast so you’re not driving with a bag taped over the door. We carry stock or source for every common side and rear glass type, usually same-day:

Door Glass

Front and rear door glass — the side window that rolls up and down. Most common break point on smash-and-grabs. Same-day in most cases.

Back Glass

The rear window — usually tempered glass that breaks into small pieces, often with built-in defroster lines and antenna integration. We match the heating element layout and re-bond properly.

Quarter Glass

The fixed glass between the rear door and the back of the vehicle. Common on SUVs, hatchbacks, and crossovers. Often vehicle-specific and may need 1–2 days to source.

Vent Glass

The small fixed glass at the front of a door window or behind the front door — the triangle pieces. Common on trucks and older sedans.

What’s Different About Side and Rear Glass

Side and rear vehicle glass differs from windshields in two important ways:

  • Most side and rear glass is tempered, not laminated. Tempered glass breaks into small pebble-shaped pieces (vs. windshields, which are laminated and stay intact when cracked). This is by design — easier to escape through a side window in an emergency.
  • The fitting hardware matters as much as the glass. Door glass rides in regulators that need to be aligned correctly. Misaligned door glass binds, rattles, or fails to seal. Quarter glass and vent glass use specific moldings that have to be replaced or reused properly.

The install isn’t just glass swap — it’s full hardware reset. We do that on every job.

Insurance and Side/Rear Glass

Comprehensive coverage covers side and rear window replacement for break-ins, vandalism, hail, and accident damage. Many Texas policies include zero-deductible glass coverage on auto glass claims, which means a lot of our customers pay nothing out of pocket. We file the claim for you and bill your insurance directly.

Comprehensive coverage covers break-in glass damage. Many Texas policies include zero-deductible glass coverage. We file the claim while we install. Some carriers want a police report on file for break-in claims — we’ll let you know.

Yes — most door, vent, and back glass replacements can be done mobile at your driveway, office, or wherever your vehicle is. Quarter glass on certain vehicles may need shop tools.

Door glass: about 30–60 minutes. Back glass: about 60–90 minutes (longer because of defroster connections). Quarter and vent glass vary by vehicle.

Yes — tempered glass shatters into small pieces that get into door cavities, seats, carpet, and air vents. We vacuum the work area as part of the install, but a deep cleanup of the entire interior is recommended.
